OK I know you probably thinking, “aren’t they the same thing?” Well yes and no. By definition a fiancé is the man who is engaged to the woman and a fiancée is the woman engaged to the man. They are pronounced the same in English, but they do have different definitions. Anyway that’s not important, and what is more important is the fact that Joel proposed to Nikki on Christmas Day. She said yes, of course, and the rest is history! There is a story behind the story that I will save for Nikki, but she should know, that there were never any doubts.
Words from me to you two: Nikki, Joel loves you more than anything, and is prepared to be your, friend, partner and husband forevermore. Joel, I believe Nikki adores the man that you are, and will be, and she is ready to take her place beside the man she loves. I love you both and wish for nothing but joy and a cup that runs over from all of God’s blessings.
Joel and Nikki compliment each other very well and what I would call a power couple. I am very excited about their recent engagement and I look forward to Nikki and Joel pulling their hair out to figure out the details of planning to spend the rest of the lives together. I am so very proud to call them family and I wish them the very best! Congrats Joel and Nikki!
Ok I just thought I would share something I found while digging around the web this afternoon. Tell me that this doesn’t kick a**. This is what I want for Christmas next year.

Hey family and friends I just wanted to take a minute to wish everyone a very happy holiday season. Please remember those that are without when thinking about your Christmas wish list. With that said I will share my personal wish list, and feel free to pick one!
Justin’s Christmas Wish List
OK! That pretty much sums me up. God has blessed me with so many other things that I don’t, and can’t possibly ask for any more. These would just be icing on the beautiful cake he has made.
Be blessed and Happy Holidays.

What up family! I just wanted to let everyone know that I am headed to New Orleans for the weekend. I plan to take as many pictures as possible while I’m there. Hopefully I can get a “State of Katrina” on film, and share with you what I see. The reason I’m headed there is for a wedding, but I would like to take some time to see what else New Orleans has to offer.
Also I wanted to wish Adonna Nicole a very happy 25th birthday. She is one of my best friends that I don’t get to see enough, but I have to show my scorpio sister some love on her day. I hope you enjoy it Adonna. Ok I gotta pack and get out of here. I’ll post pics while in the N.O. if not I’ll do it when I get back.
Love,
Justin
I just wanted to take a minute to tell you about Ann and Victor. Ann and I met almost a year ago when I started my job at an email marketing company here in Atlanta. She, along with her fiancé Victor, have since become very good friend of mine, that I value and appreciate. Ann and Victor embody what I believe to be true love, I am sure they have been through their share of ups and downs, but when Ann is around Victor she glows, and you can see the passion and love in their eyes. On Friday I had the pleasure of sharing one last lunch with them before they will be married next Saturday on November 17th. Ann and Victor have already made their way to New Orleans to wrap up any loose ends. I will be in New Orleans to celebrate next Saturday, and can’t wait to see what I have been hearing about for almost an entire year now. Ann and Victor are expecting over 400 people at their wedding so it will be the largest wedding I have ever attended, by far. I must say that I am intrigued by the shear size and magnitude of the occasion. Anyway I just wanted to share my enthusiasm and utter joy in being witness to such true love. I will be sure to share more pictures once I return, so stay tuned.
This may be a little premature, but Congrats Ann and Victor! May God continue to bless you, in your new life together!

I just wanted to take a minute to thank all of my friends and loved ones for celebrating my birthday with me. It was truly incredible to see so many of the people I call family, together in one place. Thank you to; Akuba, LeVar, Chris, Sydney, Ann, Victor, Tiffany, Sean, Dwight, TJ, Carra, Will, Joel, Nikki, Zanelle, Andre, Mike C., and Adonna. I must say that the evening was incredible! I am truly blessed to have such wonderful people in my life. For those of you who couldn’t make it, no worries, I know that you care and thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
In case anyone is wondering what i got for my birthday; i received an ipod Touch, which I am typing on now, a Sirius Satellite radio, a gift card, some great birthday cards, and some of the best friends in the world. Thanks again and I love you all.
Love,
Justin
As you may recall, I recently wrote a post about the observation that black people don’t read and unfortunately, to some degree it’s true. Though I remain optimistic about this observation, and would hope that this will change, I must admit that I didn’t necessarily supply a solution. Well have no fear, a solution is here. A friend of mine sent me a link to a pretty cool website and to be honest, I think it is a great tool to use for someone looking to make reading a more social event. Shelfari.com is a website that allows you to share books that you have enjoyed reading with others, particularly your friends or people within your network. The other cool thing is that it allows you to recommend books to your friends, which brings the traditional “book club” element online. Of course the service allow you to search by author, ISBN, or subject, but you can also search for subject matter in a huge tag cloud which are very useful and creative web 2.0 element. This cloud also allows you to see what other people find interesting and maybe spark you interest enough to see what all the fuss is about. My initial reaction is this service is great and hopefully will be the start of something bigger. Of course this is just my opinion, why don’t you check it out, and come back and tell me what you think.

Well for those of you who don’t know, there are just 7 days till my 25th birthday. I’m a looked freaked, just because of all the hype… I think, but I am also excited. I’m excited to see what God will bring to my life over the next year. He has already done so much that I get goosebumps thinking about what he will do next.
For my birthday I think I’m going to take Mom to a really nice restaurant to thank her for taking the time to raise me, the way she did. Though I know it will never be enough, I just see it at as a small token of my appreciation. I know it’s a slightly different angle than most, but she is worth it, and so much more. Anyway I just wanted to say hello and let you know that I am excited about the next 7 days and for those of you, who are close to me, this may just be a reminder
Anyway be blessed and i’ll holla!
